Construct and Test a Prototype
I used a combination of mates and flushes to constrain my Deer. When you mate you take away 3 DOF. When you flush you take away another 3
Evaluate The Solution
I had to change my design and measurements MULTIPLE times. This project was extremely hard and stressful, but if you keep on following the design process you will eventually complete it. My first design only withstood .92 pounds. i had to go back to the develop a solution step and redo my dimensions in order to make my deer withstand 50 lb of force. I had to redo my dimensions 5 or 6 times. but after you find the right dimensions you can go to the next step and construct your deer.
Present The Solution
I used the subtractive method to create the eye. The eye would in the real world help it withstand more lb pf force because the wind would go through the hole instead of hitting the surface. The location of the deer on the grid can change the center of gravity because depending on if the sketch and where it is relative to the origin it will change the COG. My design is effective because it is aerodynamic and its made of old wood pieces so its efficient to make. Also it is sturdy so you don't have to keep buying more or fixing them. My second experience with inventor was a bit less efficient then the first. It took longer and was harder to operate. This was mainly because of the constraints that had to have been followed. I did learn how to constrain faster and better which will come in handy.
